Postgraduate Course in Business Communication

The course methodology is based on highly participatory sessions with groups of no more than 35 students. The majority of teachers are active professionals with substantial teaching experience. This means that classes are not only extremely educational but are also eminently practical in focus. Other professionals also take part in the course, setting students challenges and sharing their specific knowledge and experience. Of a total of 200 teaching hours, 180 are on-campus sessions, with the remaining 20 being online. In the on-campus lessons, there will be a mix of teaching sessions, case studies and student presentations.

All participants are divided into groups and must create a communication plan, which will form the basis for that assessment. The work is done with the support of a tutor and must be presented before an examination board comprising lecturers and professionals, in a format similar to what would occur in the workplace. Certain subjects also require tests or work to be done on a smaller scale, individually or in teams.

Face-to-face masters programs, postgraduate courses and short courses at UPF Barcelona School of Management combine active student participation with the teaching of theoretical and practical concepts. This type of learning focuses on discussing and resolving case studies in the classroom and applying the knowledge acquired to real-life situations. Face-to face programs use Aula Global, the virtual campus, to maintain continuity between classroom sessions.
