The MSc in International Business class explores the Polish business arena on its first International Business Trip

This year’s students of the MSc in International Business —offered jointly between the UPF Barcelona School of Management and ESCI—, participated last week in a one-week business trip to Poland in order to investigate on the country’s economical situation and their business panorama.

The trip, which took place along five days (June the 24th to the 29th), followed a tight schedule which included several visits to Warsaw’s international business institutions, as well as a number of speeches and networking interactions with Poland’s most significant business actors. Among others, the students had the chance of seeing the daily functioning of companies such as Philipp Morris, Warsaw’s Barcelona Football Club school “FCBEscola” and the Special Economic Zone, Poland’s business conglomerate often described as Warsaw’s small scale replica of Silicon Valley.

During the trip, the students were accompanied both by Prof. Mercè Roca, the Director of the master programme, and Prof. Jordi Garolera, the programme’s career advisor and internship tutor. “It has been a wonderful experience to see how the students interact with international business leaders with self-confidence and founded knowledge.” —Prof. Roca expressed satisfactorily— “After listening to some of the questions the students posed during the numerous visits, I believe they all are confident that the training earned during the master will be of paramount help in their professional careers”.

The MSc in International Business students celebrated their Graduation and Academic Completion Ceremony right after their return to Barcelona.
