Jorge Carrión presents his new novel: Los huérfanos [The Orphans]

Jorge Carrión, critic, writer, professor and coordinator of the Master in Creative Writing will present his most recent novel Los huérfanos, published by Galàxia Gutemberg, this Saturday in Barcelona.
Los huérfanos is the second part of a trilogy which began with Los muertos[The Dead] (Festival de Chambéry prize) and will end in 2015 with Los turistas [The Tourists]. The books can be read independently of each other or as a trilogy. It is a humanistic science-fiction tale which addresses the perils of using historic memory as a political instrument. The book tells the story of a group of WWIII survivors, all from different parts of the planet, who spend 13 years together in a bunker in Beijing. The book is hugely ambitious, a work of genre fiction in which references to pop culture and television series, dystopias and a post-apocalyptic future abound.

The presentation of the book will take place on Saturday 6 September, at 6 pm in Llibreria Calders in Barcelona.
