El Funambulista is now travelling to Germany to form part of an exhibition at the Edith-Russ-Haus media arts centre
El Funambulista, the final creative project of the Master’s Degree Course in Digital Arts, is travelling to Germany to form part of an exhibition at the Edith-Russ-Haus für Medienkunst media arts centre.
The final creative project presented by Eva Domènech, El Funambulista, which features sound effects created by another student, Tony Higuchi, will form part of the exhibition “Generation i.2 - Aesthetics of the Digital art in the 21st Century”, commissioned by Claudia Giannetti, at the Edith-Russ-Haus media arts centre in Germany.
This interactive installation, created by Eva Domènech, invites the user to be a tight-rope walker walking along a balancing beam that stretches across unstable regions of the world, reproduced on the floor by Google Earth. It aims to be an exploration into the social, economic, political and moral turmoil of the world we live in and the way we interact with it.
El Funambulista, which was already exhibited at Sonar Festival this year, can be visited in the Edith-Russ-Haus media arts centre in Germany from 15 November 2013 to 16 February 2014.
