Beginning of the Gas Natural Fenosa training to lead programme

The Pompeu Fabra University, through the Barcelona School of Management and IDEC, and the Corporate University of Gas Natural Fenosa, begin the first edition of their Training to Lead programme intended for the children of employees of the energy multinational in those Latin American countries in which the company is present. The programme, which forms part of the Corporate Responsibility policy, consists of a study scholarship for students taking the last two years of any university degree or the last year of a higher education or higher vocational training (FP) programme.

The scholarship is held in the headquarters of the company’s Corporate University, in Puente Nuevo (Ávila) jointly with the Pompeu Fabra University, which contributes the contents and the lecturers. The programme, which lasts for nine days, allows students to exchange professional experiences and to study the contents of a programme developed with an international perspective in greater depth.

A total of 19 students form part of the first edition of Training to Lead. The announcement of this first scholarship programme for university students aroused great interest in the multinational’s Latin American subsidiaries and there were 60 candidates. The 19 participants come from Colombia (7), Dominican Republic (3), Argentina (2), Brazil (2), Mexico (2), Panama (2) and Nicaragua (1).

Programme objectives and development
The programme’s objectives are, among others, to provide the participants with tools for their professional development, irrespective of the degree that they are taking, to develop leadership skills, teamwork and an international perspective which allows them to confront the challenges of an increasingly globalised world, to encourage interaction with students from other countries and to promote knowledge of Gas Natural Fenosa in the world.
