The magazine Panenka publishes an article on the Barcelona Soccer Academy by Mike Puig, alumnus on the Master in Sports Management

Number 29 of the football magazine Panenka, has dedicated an article specifically to the Barcelona Soccer Academy project, the football academy founded in Barcelona in 2011 by a group of professionals with a long background and recognized experience in the educational world of this sport in the training stages at FC Barcelona. One of the three entrepreneurial partners in this project is Mike Puig, UPF Barcelona School of Management alumnus studying the Master in Sports Management. He studied on the program directed by Carles Murillo and Pere Solanellas in 2008-2009.

The article by Panenka considers the Barcelona Soccer Academy to be football’s own Silicon Valley, referred to by countries worldwide to instil the method, style and values projected by the BSA to the smallest up-and-coming youngsters. One of the destinations chosen as most interested in this formula is Saudi Arabia, on one hand attracted by the method, and on the other by the Barcelona brand name. Indeed, the very Mike Puig and another partner worked for seven years at the FCB School.
