Awards ceremonies for international qualifications (Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Santiago)

IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra recently organised graduation ceremonies in some Latin American countries in order to award diplomas to students from the 2009-10 academic year who were unable to attend the graduation ceremony which was held in Barcelona on 22nd November. Diplomas were awarded in Bogotá on 3rd November at the main building of the Fundación Carolina. In attendance were the executive director of the Fundación Carolina in Colombia, Adela Morales; executive director of the IDEC Businesses Unit, Lourdes Pérez; and Fausto Valencia representing the IDEC Alumni Association. In the same way, the awards ceremony for graduates in Chile was held on 1st December at the Centre Català in Santiago in the presence of lecturer Joan Francesc Cánovas while in the city of Quito on 9th December, Fausto Valencia awarded diplomas to graduates from Ecuador. In Buenos Aires, the awards ceremony took place on 7th December and was attended by Argentinean students graduating from programmes in Barcelona as well as students from the third edition of the Postgraduate Programme in Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communication. This ceremony was held at the IDEC Delegation in Buenos Aires and was attended by Lino Barañao, Minister of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of the Republic of Argentina.
