UPF-IDEC to host the autumn EUCEN seminar on Lifelong Learning in Spain
The autumn 2014 seminar of the EUCEN group (European Association of Higher Education and Continual Education Centres) will take place this week in Barcelona, with a focus on needs analysis and program design. The two-day seminar organized by EUCEN in collaboration with RUEPEP (the Spanish Network for Ongoing Learning) will take place on 6 and 7 November at UPF-IDEC, the centre for postgraduate education at Pompeu Fabra University, and the UPF Barcelona School of Management. During the seminar, Professor Lola Ferre, vice-rector of the University of Granada and President of RUEPEP will present her report, The Situation of the Lifelong Learning University in Spain, along with other case studies and reports. The meeting will bring together administrators, professors and researchers in order to exchange ideas and best practices.
EUCEN is the largest multidisciplinary European association focused on Lifelong Learning, with over 200 members from 40 countries. Participants from different countries and universities will outline the results of studies and research projects with the aim of finding innovative solutions together. Mario Alvarez, Director of Business and Strategic Project Development at UPF Barcelona School of Management will discuss the needs of the association and its real impact.
