Agreement between UPF Barcelona School of Management, CISI and CaixaBank to award the international financial certificate

UPF Barcelona School of Management, CISI and CaixaBank have signed an agreement allowing CaixaBank employees who pass the UPF Financial Advice program to be awarded a double certification: a UPF diploma and a CISI Certificate in wealth management.

The agreement has been signed by the deputy director general of HR at CaixaBank, Francesc Xavier Coll Escursell, the CEO of the CISI, Simon Culhane, and the director general of the UPF Continuing Education Institute Foundation, Carme Martinell.

These courses are aimed at managers and directors in the area of personal banking and last for two years. Upon completing the course, students graduate with a double degree, meaning more recognition for CaixaBank employees. This also attests to the educational quality and excellence of the UPF Barcelona School of Management custom CaixaBank programs.

Currently more than 5,000 personal banking executives and directors are studying on the UPF Barcelona School of Management course, and will sit their exams next November. The CISI Certificate in Wealth Management is an international certification recognized by the British FSA which attests to the holder’s technical knowledge of European banking and finance. CaixaBank and UPF Barcelona School of Management’s agreement with CISI consolidates the position of the international certification agency in the Spanish financial market, ahead of the future single European banking regulator and the new Banking Union regulations.
