A project of the Master’s in the Creation of Video Games, awarded at the 2012 Gamelab fair

On 28 June, the Spanish Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences presented the 5th National Videogame Industry Awards. The ceremony, held as part of Gamelab 2012, took place at the Sala Artèria Paral·lel in Barcelona.

The video game Forgotten Kodama, created by five students from the Master’s in the Creation of Video Games, won the award in the best university project category. The creators and partners of Hugging Cactus Studio received a statuette in the shape of the flea Bugaboo (in honour of the game that the company Investrónica created for Spectrum in 1983).

In May, Forgotten Kodama received the international jury’s award at the first edition of the Three Headed Monkey Awards organised by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
