Master in Tax Consultancy


As with any other professional activity, tax advice requires theoretical and practical knowledge. Therefore, the three-hour teaching sessions combine theory with the approach to, discussing and solving of cases from real-life experience.

In both aspects, the participant has an active participation. In connection with the theory, and as preparation before each session, the participant will have to compile and study the documentation relating to the subject: regulations, case-law, doctrine and selected comments. Before the practical cases, apart from this prior documentation task, they will have to suggest the solution or solutions they consider to be the most appropriate, applying the acquired knowledge.

Furthermore, as a consequence of the collaboration agreement signed with the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors, during the teaching period the participants in the Master in Tax Consultancy have the right to access the restricted part of the association web page, thus being able to consult its various databases (

Likewise, the teaching process will be completed with several colloquiums aimed at providing the student with even more direct contact, if possible, with recognized specialists.

Apart from the recommended bibliography, the participant will be provided with the basic documentary material, avoiding as far as possible the provision of copies reproducing regulations, resolutions, judgment, etc.




In order to obtain the qualification it is necessary to attend classes (a minimum of 80% of the classroom sessions), pass the assessment of the work done in class and satisfactorily pass the corresponding tests at the end of each module. These tests will take place on a Saturday morning.


Face-to-face masters programs, postgraduate courses and short courses at UPF Barcelona School of Management combine active student participation with the teaching of theoretical and practical concepts. This type of learning focuses on discussing and resolving case studies in the classroom and applying the knowledge acquired to real-life situations. Face-to face programs use Aula Global, the virtual campus, to maintain continuity between classroom sessions.
