Trends in personnel management: the importance of internal marketing

The 6th edition of the Annual Meeting on Innovation in Personnel Management, which was held at IDEC on 23rd November, once again reminded us of the importance to organisations of internal marketing policies. Through the different presentations given by the speakers, it was emphasised that what really generates value in corporations, in sustainable terms, is the equation of relations with clients, with employees and with stakeholders that are what can really set a business apart. In attendance at this event were Ferran Soriano (Spanair), Javier Amezaga (Caprabo-Eroski), Cristina Sanz Mendiola (Repsol), Francisco Puertas (Accenture), Joan Torras (Egon Zehnder), Jaume Gurt (Infojobs), Ricardo Alfaro (Asepeyo-Aedipe) and Adrián Cordero (IAI). This meeting is a reference point in Barcelona in terms of internal marketing issues, and is the precursor of the Executive Education Programme which is aimed at personnel managers and will be held in March 2011.
