The voice of 'National Geographic' comes to IDEC

José Ángel Juanes, the best-known voice of ?National Geographic? documentaries and those shown by Televisión Española\'s Channel 2 was in Barcelona on 20th and 21st March to teach a module on the Postgraduate Programme in Radio and Television Presenting, offered by IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

The famous presenter and actor, who has dubbed into Spanish the voices of Christopher Lee, Marcello Mastroianni and Spencer Tracy, as well as many others, shared his over forty years of experience in this medium with participants on the first edition of this postgraduate programme, which is directed by lecturer Emma Rodero. In his introduction to the world of dubbing, José Ángel Juanes offered some personalised attention to the future professionals in this area, demonstrating to them the presenting style which has made him the unmistakable voice of dozens of ?National Geographic? documentaries.

Future postgraduate sessions will be led by prestigious figures such as the sports journalist Josep María Deu; the popular music programme presenter Llucià Ferrer, and José Ángel Fuentes, the corporative voice of Telecinco and documentary presenter for Canal Plus.

The aim of IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra\'s Postgraduate Programme in Radio and Television Presenting is to train future presenters to manage and control their voices as their main tool in the audio-visual medium.
