The SGAE’s Author Foundation brings together musical creators and managers in a one-day digital marketing meeting
The digital revolution and social networks have brought about a change in the traditional roles of those involved in the music industry. With this in mind, on 9 May the Author Foundation of the SGAE (General Society of Authors and Publishers) held a seminar on the development of projects in the digital environment, in Seville’s Teatro Central.
The meeting on digital marketing brought together members of the music creation and management community to analyse this field and suggest useful online tools.
The speakers, David Loscos, director of the Postgraduate Course in Company Management in the Music Industry at IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra; Albert García Pujades, academic coordinator and lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Direct and Digital Marketing, also at IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra; and Jorge Moreno, a digital marketing expert and the Head of Communication at Vértice In, shared their experience and attempted to set out the keys and main resources for this new way of doing business in the music industry.
