The Filmoteca de Catalunya announces the screening of the complete filmography of Marcel·lí Antúnez, teacher of the Master’s Degree Course in Digital Arts
The Filmoteca de Catalunya has scheduled, for this coming Thursday 14 November a cycle dedicated to Marcel·lí Antúnez, teacher of the Master’s Degree Course in Digital Arts at IDEC-Pompeu Fabra University, and recognised internationally as one of the most relevant figures in electronic art and theatrical experimentation.
Marcel·lí Antúnez’s career spans a period of more than 30 years, from his early years as co-founder of La Fura dels Baus to current performances. Antúnez has developed a visual universe that is completely personal and iconoclastic, which he now transfers to the Filmoteca de Catalunya in two sessions that will be presented by the author himself.
In the first session (6:30 pm), five works specially selected by Marcel·lí Antúnez for the Filmoteca will be screened. The works are representative of different moments of his extended career, which spans a long period between 1933 and 2007. 20The second session (8:00 pm) is dedicated to two audiovisual works of Marcel·lí Antúnez: El Dibuixant and El peix Sebastiano.
Also, Canal 33 will be screening El peix Sebastiano, one of Antúnez’s works, on the same day, Thursday 14 November at 10:40 pm.
