Students from the Master in Forensic Linguistics present their dissertations

On Thursday 29 September, a number of students from the Master
in Forensic Linguistics
will present their dissertations before a jury
comprising the Master's academic director and two members of teaching staff.

Joan Pla Fulquet, a student from the second year of the
Master will defend his work, “La detecció de plagi en traducció literària.
Anàlisi de tres versions de El Barón Rampante. De
Italo Calvino a l'espanyol” (“Detecting Plagiarism in Literary Translation.
An analysis of three Spanish versions of Italo Calvino's The Baron in
the Trees"
).

Time: 10.00 am.

The jury will comprise:

Dr Josep Vilajosana (Chairperson). Dean of UPF's
Law School.

Dr Cristina Gelpí (Secretary). Lecturer on the IDEC-UPF Master in Forensic
Linguistics.

Dr Maria Teresa Turell (Member). Director of the IDEC-UPF Master in Forensic
Linguistics.

 

Sheila Queralt Estevez, a student from the third year of
the Master will defend her work, “L'ús de seqüències
d'etiquetes morfosintàctiques en la comparació forense de textos
anglesos” (“The Use of Morphosyntactic Label Sequences in the Forensic Comparison
of English Texts”).

Time: 11.30 am.

The jury will comprise:

Dr Josep Vilajosana (Chairperson). Dean of UPF's
Law School.

Dr Jordi Cicres (Secretary). Academic Coordinator of the IDEC-UPF Master
in Forensic Linguistics.

Dr Maria Teresa Turell (Member). Director of the IDEC-UPF Master in Forensic
Linguistics.
