ORLA-UPF publishes a book on international business

executive director of the First
Export Programme
of
the Fundación Gas Natural has written the prologue to the book International
business: current environment, marketing, hiring and negotiating (Negocios
internacionales: ambiente actual, marketing, contratación y negociación)
published
by the Observatorio
de Investigación de Relaciones con América Latina
(ORLA)
at Pompeu Fabra University .

The Fundación Gas Natural and IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra are connected
by constant close collaboration. For example, in 2010 the Fundación
Gas Natural, through the First Export Programme, offered twenty study and business
scholarships for enabling participants in international business. The twenty
scholarships consisted of the participation in a one-week postgraduate-level
course in International Business at IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra. As a supplement
to the training, business meetings were arranged with Spanish and Argentinian
employers interested in their products and/or services. The scheme was open
to all SMEs from any sector located in Argentina.

Another example of collaboration is the prologue to the book, in which Furnari
states: “International business requires interaction between different players
on both a business and governmental, political, NGO and educational level,
among others, which gives rise to a systematic relationship among all those
forming part of the business world”.

Included among the various authors of the book is Carles Murillo Fort, director
of the Master's
in International Business. Specialising in Latin America, Europe and Asia
,
and Manuel Cienfuegos Mateo, assistant director, as well as José Luis
Aznar Campins, Josep Bertran Valls, José Luis Marín and Judith
Mata Montforte.
