Pau Verrié received the Medal of the UPF in recognition to his contribution to the creation, in 1993, of the Continuing Education Institute (IDEC-UPF). The presentation took place on 20 December last, during the Christmas function, and was presided over by the Rector of the UPF, Josep Joan Moreso. The Medal of the UPF was also presented to Josep Fontana, founder in 1990 of the Jaume Vicens i Vives University Institute of History, to which he donated his private library, of incalculable bibliographical value; Jordi Pericot, a lecturer in Audiovisual Communication Studies since 1992, and who has held different institutional positions; and Enric Satué, a lecturer in Journalism Studies between 1993 and 2012 and the creator in 1990 of the original trademark of the UPF, a design which represented the University’s project of excellence and modernity.
Last October, the Latin America and Europe Continuing Education Network (RECLA) also rewarded the professional career of Pau Verrié in view of his contribution to the strengthening and consolidation of Continuing Education.
