Lumen, a final project carried out for the Master in Video Game Creation, obtains international recognition
Lumen, the video game designed by students on the Master in Video Game Creationas final project of their degree, continues its success, receiving an excellent acceptance on an international level. The most recent of these comes from the website Gizmo’s Freeware, one of the most popular freeware websites on a worldwide level, placing Lumen in third place it its TOP TEN Best Free PC Games 2013. Gizmo’s describes the video game as ‘magnificent and exceptionally well made’ and highlights its ‘interesting’ game mechanics and technical level, the only downside being its short duration. Without doubt, another recognition to add to the excellent critics this free download game has received among bloggers and within its sector.
The game was created by programmers Jesús Lou Cuartero, Carlos Moreno and Oskar Mena and by artists Eduardo Galán, Daniel Cuadrado and Adrià Inglés while they were studying the Master in Video Game Design at the IDEC-UPF. They didn’t expect such a response by game enthusiasts. On YouTube, over 100 reviews have been made in several languages, and one of them has already reached over 300,000 viewings.
