IDEC-UPF and ECOM, a not-for-profit organisation, sign a collaboration agreement within the framework of programmes in the social area
IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra has signed an agreement with ECOM,
an association movement consisting of organisations of the disabled, through
which associates of the entities forming part of ECOM can benefit from a 10%
discount on the registration fee for the Postgraduate
Programme in Sociocultural Animation and Community Development: Project Management,
and the Postgraduate
Course in Project Promotion in Active Aging.
ECOM is pushing for the social insertion and employment of those in situations
of disability, working from various aspects such as education, fundamental
to the personal and human development of the population. The courses included
in the agreement encourage the participation of students within the field of
socialisation. The objective of the Postgraduate Programme in Sociocultural
Animation is to train the up and coming position of sociocultural manager/animator,
enabling from a social perspective the expression and creativity of individuals
to thus favour their socialisation, and also to channel and manage social dynamics
efficiently and meaningfully, acting as mediator between public entities and
citizens' movements and collectives.
For its part, the objective of the Postgraduate Course in Project Promotion
in Active Aging is to train professionals capable of developing social projects
ensuring the integration and wellbeing of the elderly.
