More than 5,000 CaixaBank employees sit a fincial advice exam
- For the first time, this unique examination allowed participants to obtain a double certification: a UPF postgraduate diploma and the CISI Certificate in Wealth Management.
This week, some 5,300 Caixa Bank office managers and personal banking managers from all over Spain sat examinations for the Postgraduate Course in Financial Advice at the UPF Barcelona School of Management. This year, for the first time, the exam will be recognised by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). Candidates that pass the exam will obtain a double certification from two of the sector’s most recognised institutions: the postgraduate diploma in financial management from UPF and the CISI Certificate in Wealth Management. The CISI certificate is one of the most prestigious international certifications in the financial sector, accredited by the highest regulatory body in the UK.
The exam took place in 32 cities all over Spain at the end of a two year course taught by Pompeu Fabra University.
CaixaBank signed an agreement with UPF and CISI so that both institutions certify their employee training after a unique and highly demanding examination. These institutions developed the course content and the exams together in accordance with EU requirements for specialised training for banking employees.
The Financial Advisor Diploma from UPF is a 30 ECTS program, developed especially for CaixaBank and taught by the business school UPF Barcelona School of Management.
The Certificate in Wealth Management (Spain) is the CISI’s mark of excellence, accredited by the highest regulatory body in Europe, the Financial Conduct Authority, and is the main reference for the financial sector worldwide.
