Collaboration agreement with BIOCAT-PRBB-IDEC for the SIMS

On 20th May a collaboration agreement was signed by IDEC, the Parc de Recerca Biomèdica de Barcelona (PRBB) and Biocat (BioRegió de Catalunya). This agreement defines the commitment of the three parties to organise a programme of seminars for the Science and Innovation Management Studies (SIMS) and was signed by director general of IDEC, Pau Verrié , the director general of PRBB, Jordi Camí, and the president of the Executive Commission of Biocat, Manel Balcells.

SIMS is a learning platform which brings together businesses, academics and technology parks in order to share experiences and knowledge. The management team is made up of José Carlos Gutierrez-Ramos, Inflammation Research GSK in Stevenage (United Kingdom) as academic director, Ramon Marimón, Professor at UPF as director-founder and Reimund Fickert as academic coordinator.

From 3rd-5th July there was a new edition which focused on strategies for the planning, processes and use of clinical tests, as well as legal regulations. This last edition of the seminar featured an excellent group of teachers made up of directors from the best biotechnology companies in Europe and the USA such as Jennie Sykes from GSK, Damian O\'Connell from Pfizer, Christian Telling from 7TM Pharmaceuticals, Piet Wiegerinck from Galapagos, Remy Luthringer from Forenap Pharma and Carlo Zanotti from Cellerix.
