Barcelona School of Management Board of Directors

July 19th of this year saw the foundation of the Management Board of the Barcelona School of Management. With the support of the UPF Barcelona School of Management, UPF will set up the first school of management run by a public university in Catalonia, with the aim of strengthening business links and, at the same time, offering rigorous training by taking advantage of the research capacity demonstrated by UPF, in line with the best business schools around the world. This Management Board is made up two representatives from UPF's Governing Council, four members of the Economics and Business Department and six representatives from IDEC, five of which are from companies: Josep Joan Moreso (UPF), Jaume Casals (UPF), José Garcia Montalvo, Albert Carreras, Robin Hogarth and Daniel Serra (Department of Economics and Business), Xavier Carbonell (Chamber of Commerce), Xavier Segura (Caixa Catalunya), Jordi Arqués (Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira), Felisa Martín (Enagás) and Carme Martinell (IDEC). The Management Board will be UPF Barcelona School of Management's management organ which will be launched in the coming 2011-2012 academic year.
