Albert Soler, appointed chairman of the Sports Council

Albert Soler, lecturer and collaborator on the Master's in Sports Management, has been appointed new chairman of the National Sports Council (NSC), position on a par with Secretary of State. Albert Soler replaces Jaime Lissavetzky, who held the position since 2004.

Albert Soler is chairman of the National Sports Council (NSC), chairman of the sub-committee on Health and Sport and of the Antiviolence Committee. He has a degree in Sports and Physical Education from INEFC in Barcelona and a Master's in Public Management from IDEC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He is a qualified civil servant at Barcelona City Council, where he has been city sports director and director of its sports strategic plan.

The new chairman of the National Sports Council was a lecturer on the Master's in Sports Management in several editions of the programme.
