UPF Barcelona School of Management is to train international trade experts in Algeria
Pompeu Fabra University’s UPF Barcelona School of Management and the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI), in collaboration with Gas Natural Fenosa, is organizing a Training course specializing in international export in the city of Argel (Algeria). The course, designed and given by UPF Barcelona School of Management, aims to provide Algerian professionals specific expertise in the area of business and international trade, with the objective of reinforcing the export capacity of Algerian companies and preparing them to take on the challenges of international trade policies in a multicultural environment.
The collaboration agreement was signed at UPF Barcelona School of Management’s headquarters in the Balmes building, by CACI’s general director, M. Mohamed CHAMI, the general director of Pompeu Fabra University’s Institute of Continuing Education, Carme Martinell, and Manel Beguer, International Project Coordinator at the Fundación Gas Natural Fenosa.
This course takes place as a result of the collaboration between the three institutions for the joint organization of programs of common interest within the field of training business owners and entrepreneurs in Algeria.
The program is directed by the professor in Applied Economics and director of the Master in International Business at UPF Barcelona School of Management, Carles Murillo, and lecturer for the Master in International Trade, José Luis Aznar, and will take place from May 2015 to March 2016. Participants will also take a visit to Barcelona to give them a general overview of the Catalan business environment, and practical experience of business opportunities in Span and Europe. This visit will combine on-site sessions with visits to companies and institutions which are representative of the economic fabric of Catalonia, Spain, and the European Union.
