Postgraduate Course in Global Music Business Management at Primavera Sound

  • UPF-IDEC will participate in Primavera Sound this year, with two talks by David Loscos, the director of the postgraduate course in Global Music Business Management.

Is there anyone out there who cares about Spanish music? and 10 years training managers for the music sector: now what? are the titles of the two talks to be given by David Loscos, director of the postgraduate course in Global Music Business Management at the Primavera Sound lecture series to take place from 27 to 29 May at the MACBA.

David Loscos, Pedro Cano (BMAT Music Innovation) and Ángel Navas (IndustriaMusical.es) will look at the current state of Spanish music abroad and present an initial report on the effects of public communication in those regions in which the largest number of international rights have been generated.

Additionally, in honour of the tenth anniversary of the first postgraduate course in Spanish about music business management, which is given at UPF-IDEC, David Loscos will analyse the use and evolution of training programmes for music entrepreneurs and managers. Value propositions, experiences, music content, markets and sectors, the value of mainstreaming, and the process of generating and promoting hybrid projects are some of the topics he will address in his talk.
