Master of Science in Finance and Banking
A double degree program awards two individual qualifications at equivalent levels upon completion of the collaborative program requirements established by the two partner institutions.
Dual degree programs normally last for two years, one year at UPF Barcelona School of Management and one year at a partner institution.
Washington University in St.Louis (Olin Business School)
At Washington University in St.Louis students take the Global Master of Finance and you begin the program at WashU with a four-course/six-credit summer semester. Fall, winter and spring semesters take place at UPF. Return to WashU for a second summer semester when you rejoin the GMF cohort for immersions in New York and Washington, DC. You conclude the program with a final semester at UPF, where you complete your master's thesis and internship. Students will be allowed to complete this semester remotely, if needed. (A total of 90 credit points).
Once students have completed both programs (including the master's thesis and any internship undertaken) they will receive the official master's degree Master of Finance and Banking awarded by Pompeu Fabra University and Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.Course credits at Washington University are awarded based on a US system, while course credits at UPF are awarded based on the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Following standard practice, two ECTS credits will be considered as equivalent to one credit at Washington University in St. Louis60 US equivalent credits (30 US and 60 ECTS) total required for program completion24 US credits taken (6 transfer to UPF) and 60 ECTS credits taken
Admission and Enrolment
Students of the Master of Science in Finance and Banking must meet the Washington University admission requirements. Candidates who meet these requirements will be assisted with the admissions process by the Master of Science in Finance and Banking program advisor.
Tuition covers coursework, including immersion courses in New York City and Washington, D.C. Additional costs covered only during WashU immersion courses include housing, some meals, transportation between New York and Washington, DC, and transportation back to St. Louis, Missouri.Tuition does not include housing costs at either institution, textbooks, supplies, meal plans, or travel from your residential location to either of the campuses.Health insurance is required but is not included with tuition for either UPF or WashU.
EBS Business School (Germany)
Final degrees Once students have completed both programs, they will receive the official master's degree Master of Science in Finance and Banking awarded by Pompeu Fabra University and the chosen EBS master's degree, awarded by EBS Business School.
Admission and Enrolment Students of the Master of Science in Finance and Banking must meet the EBS Business School admission requirements. Candidates who meet these requirements will be assisted with the admissions process by the Master of Science in Finance and Banking program advisor.
Tuition fees UPF Barcelona School of Management students will receive a 20% reduction of the EBS tuition fees.
