Master in Auditing and Financial Management

Methodology

The Master in Auditing and Financial Management combines theoretical and practical classes with a methodology focused very much on a participatory approach. Its educational objective is to gain in-depth knowledge both on a conceptual level, by enabling understanding and analysis of the world of financial and accounting management, as well as on the most advanced methodology currently applied.

The teaching methodology of the on-site modality encourages interaction between students and combines case studies, business games, group work, and reports presentation, among others. Lecturers will expose students to theoretical concepts and expect them to actively intervene by discussing and resolving practical cases; in a team, through role playing, and business games, based on real current problems, and students will prepare a project to put into practice all the knowledge gained.

Between sessions, students study the documentation provided and prepare the exercises that will later be resolved in class. For each hour of class, it is estimated that one or two hours of work outside the classroom will be necessary.

Tools

Face-to-face masters programs, postgraduate courses and short courses at UPF Barcelona School of Management combine active student participation with the teaching of theoretical and practical concepts. This type of learning focuses on discussing and resolving case studies in the classroom and applying the knowledge acquired to real-life situations. Face-to face programs use Aula Global, the virtual campus, to maintain continuity between classroom sessions.
