Is Human Resources ready for age management?
We have the EU's highest life expectancy and the lowest fertility rate in the EU, along with Poland. Given this situation, it is necessary that we become aware of the aging process as a determinant factor of competitiveness and the sustainability of the productive system. As well as the obstacles that companies will have to face according to this reality.
Unfortunately, in our country, age is not yet a cross-cutting axis that guides and articulates HR management. No long-term action plans are defined and the measures or actions taken are limited to pre-retirement and relief contracts.
Countries such as France, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany have for years developed government age management strategies in different life and business spheres.
During the session there will be an introduction to the concepts of "Active Ageing" and "Ageing in the workplace". In addition, the case of Laboratorios HARTMANN will be presented. This company applies to the Spanish subsidiary the strategy in age management that for years has been established in its headquarters in Germany.
