The challenge of the far-right political parties. Is there a European identity crisis?
The presidential election in Austria, legislative elections in Holland and the election of president in France have placed the mobilization of the far-right at the center of the political debate. A mixture of nationalism, populism and xenophobia challenges the construction of Europe and the democratic values characteristic of open societies.
Albert Garrido, journalist specializing in International Relations and professor of the Master in International Politics Journalism at the UPF Barcelona School of Management, together with con Lluís Bassets, journalist and current deputy director of El País, will discuss the challenge of the extreme right in Europe in a Conference-gathering that will make us reflect on the current European identity.
